Star Class Entertainment is a woman-owned, full-service event planning company based in Houston, Texas. Star Class Entertainment provides the perfect combination of classy, chic creativity fused with energetic ideas customized to the client’s satisfaction. Offering our signature Classy Picnics, A Classy Hibachi Experience, Women & Wine Pop Up Picnics, and tailormade Ladies Night Out Events. Our mission and overall goals are to ensure our clients have a Classy yet Professional Memorable Experience!

2020 became the year of change. In unprecedented times, Joy Davenport and Ta Morrison joined forces against all odds to bring the gift of experience to like-minded women. With both ladies being leaders in the travel and event industry, it was only natural that these two became a team. Each experience they create is unique, and every client becomes a part of our Star Class family!

TA MORRISON

Ta Morrison, a business-savvy country girl from the small town of Hearne, TX, is on a consistent rise. Fully utilizing her B.A. degree as a successful HR Specialist, Ta used her 15-year HR career to develop the type of leadership required in a corporate setting for her entrepreneurial efforts. Ta’s love for business and women’s empowerment became the fuel and motivation for her future. Building a bridge that would expose others to different cultures and life experiences. Taking this incentive to start her first business, Star Class Travel, in March of 2010.

Star Class Travel offered exclusive vacation packages, girls’ trips, and global networking; Ta felt privy to do more. Ta identified other opportunities within the marketplace. As Star Class Travel experienced unprecedented growth, now being sought out to orchestrate special events. Not wanting her company to be misconstrued, she started Star Class Entertainment to cater to loyal customers who desired more Star Class experiences. Her concept of being an entrepreneur isn’t about her success; it’s about what she is pouring into the individuals. Her desire is to see women succeed inclusively. Ta’s core values include professionalism, transparency, honesty, and relatability. Today, the inimitable Ta Morrison is known as an event host, event manager, travel specialist, speaker, mentor, and a woman who keeps all things “Star Classy“!

JOY DAVENPORT

Joy Davenport, Co-Creative Director and event planner of the highly acclaimed Star Class Entertainment, has created over 100 exclusive events, From intimate affairs, backyard transformations to opulent soirees and destination weddings. Demonstrating through design a wealth of industry knowledge and a vast network of incredible vendors. Joy has planned events worldwide, including Mexico, Turks & Caicos, Jamaica, and the Bahamas.

As an educator of our youth and philanthropist by day, Joy is known for her attention to detail, passion for people, and work ethic. Joy ensures that each event is unique and flawlessly executed; beyond this, she is genuinely creative, continuously striving to create authentic memorable experiences no matter the occasion.

Her passion for event planning and decorating is an inherited treasure transferred through her great grandmother’s lineage. Joy infuses this treasured inspiration into every event, ensuring our clients feel cared for like family.
